FETE DE LA MUSIQUE 2025
The Alliance Française du Guyana will be celebrating another edition of this popular annual music concert at the Umana Yana in the capital city of Georgetown. Talented local musicians will be featured, singing and performing with instruments such as guitars, saxophone, and drums in different styles of music. Don’t miss our wonderful lineup of artists to celebrate the rythms of France and Guyana.

FAMILY MOVIE
Ernest and Celestine return to Ernest’s land, Charabia, to repair his precious violin. They discover that music has been banned all over the country for several years. Ernest and Celestine are joined by new friends, including a mysterious masked avenger, to try to right this injustice and bring joy back to the land of the bears

The lives of a group of unruly boys at a boarding school are turned upside down, when a failed musician joins the staff, and starts a choir. Join us for this touching movie (with English subtitles) and enjoy some pizza with a French twist!

MEMBERS MEET/OPEN HOUSE: CHANDELEUR EDITION
Join us for a short Members Open House, where you can find out more about the Alliance, Membership and ask any questions to our Executive Board. Then stay on to celebrate Chandeleur, also known as Candelmas to treat yourself to crepes with all kinds of traditional French toppings including strawberry preserve, nutella, lemon curd, salted caramel, and more!
A small creative activity will be organized for the kids to make art with their crepes and fruit!

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and celebrate this traditional holiday with native speakers from our French community in Georgetown.
We will also have a kids corner where children decorate their own crowns and a storytime, reading books about the tradition of the galette de roi!

Annual Christmas Dinner/Dîner de Noël
Come join our cozy annual celebration, enjoy a 3 course French meal, and connect with our Francophone community at the Cara Lodge (294 Quamina Street, Georgetown).
We will also have a kids corner where children can build gingerbread houses and decorate Christmas cookies. This event is open to member and non members alike.
